THE GUIDE PUTTING ALL EYES ON THE MORE THAN 100 LOCAL BUSINESSES FEATURED. THERE’S 50,000 VISITORS EXPECTED TO COME TO MILWAUKEE, BUT THE CAPACITY OF THE FI SERV IS ONLY 18,000. SO AT ANY GIVEN TIME, THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF THE FI SERV DOING LUNCHES, BREAKFAST DINNERS, DRINKS AND EVENTS OF ALL SHAPES AND SIZES. THEY NEED PLACES LIKE BARTOLOTTA, RESTAURANTS, HARBOR HOUSE, BACKUS TO HOST THEIR EVENTS. WE SEE THIS AS NOT ONLY THE MOMENT OF MAKING MONEY DURING THAT WEEK, BUT AGAIN TO EXPAND THE EXPOSURE OF MILWAUKEE. AND WE SEE THIS AS PAYBACK OVER THE YEARS TO COME. More than 100 local businesses featured as partner venues

The RNC's Committee on Arrangements launched its official Convention Venue Guide Wednesday. The Republican National Convention and Milwaukee Host Committee, at their "Toast to Milwaukee" event on top of the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel at the Outsider, revealed the 111 local partner venues featured in the guide."We anticipate over $200 million of economic impact will come and be seen here in Milwaukee," said Allison Prange, chief operating officer for the Milwaukee Host Committee.The guide puts all eyes on the more than one hundred local businesses featured."It's an easy way to just let everybody know about us," said Russ Klisch, president of Lakefront Brewery.The guide acts as a directory for groups looking to host events during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee July 15-18."There's 50,000 visitors expected to come to Milwaukee, but the capacity of the Fiserv is only 18,000. So at any given time, there are thousands of people outside of the Fiserv doing lunches, breakfasts, dinners, drinks and events of all shapes and sizes," said Elise Dickens, the chief executive officer for the RNC's Committee on Arrangements.The groups will need places like those featured in the guide, including Bartolotta Restaurants like Harbor House and Bacchus, to host their events."We see this as, not only the moment of making money during that week, but again, to expand the exposure of Milwaukee. And we see this as payback over the years to come," said Keith Trafton, chief executive officer for Bartolotta Restaurants.Klisch says having Lakefront's name in the guide will pay dividends come July. "You're talking about probably having three parties a day at your place where normally we have one. Maybe over $50,000 days is what I'm anticipating for us to come in, at least, and four days in a row. So it's a nice shot in the arm," Klisch said.
