THIS IS PART OF THE MAKE-A-WISH PROGRAM. AND FIVE YEAR OLD ALLEN NEWSOME WAS BORN WITH A CONDITION CALLED HYPOPLASTIC LEFT HEART SYNDROME. AND HIS WISH WAS TO MEET HIS FAVORITE PRO WRESTLER. SO ALLEN HAS ALREADY HAD THREE OPEN HEART SURGERIES IN HIS SHORT LIFETIME. AND THE CONDITION HE LIVES WITH IMPACTS HOW BLOOD FLOWS FROM THE HEART. ALLEN’S MOM, DOMINIQUE HAWTHORNE, SAYS SHE’S KEPT HIM HOME A LOT BECAUSE HE GETS SICK EASILY. BUT HIS DOCTOR SUGGESTED TRYING FOR MAKE-A-WISH. ALLEN AND HIS FAMILY ARE HUGE FANS OF WWE, SO WHEN HIS MOM GAVE HIM A FEW CHOICES FOR HIS WISH, HE CHOSE MEETING WRESTLER ROMAN REIGNS AND THAT WISH GRANTED TO TONIGHT FEEL LIKE HE SHOULD JUST COME OUT HERE AND EXPRESS HIMSELF AND LET THE WORLD KNOW LIKE WHO HE IS AND HOW STRONG HE IS AND WHAT HE WENT THROUGH AND HOW LIKE WHAT HE STILL GOING THROUGH. AND ERICA ALLEN WASN’T THE ONLY CHILD WHOSE WISH WAS GRANTED TODAY. THERE IS ACTUALLY A MAKE-A-WISH CHILD THAT CAME OUT FROM MICHIGAN TO GET THAT WISH GRANTED TO MEET JOHN CENA AND

Make-A-Wish child meets professional wrestler in Milwaukee.

Among the thousands going to see WWE Smackdown at Fiserv Forum Friday night included a Milwaukee Boy who wished to see one of the professional wrestlers.Five-year-old Allen Newsom is a Make-A-Wish child born with a condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.His mom, Dominique Hawthorn, says this meant the left side of his heart didn’t have enough blood flowing through it.“A week after he was born, he had his first surgery. Then, a year and a half later, he had his second one, and then his last one was about a year and a half ago,” Hawthorn said. Hawthorn said she’s kept Allen home a lot because he gets sick easily, but says their doctor suggested trying for Make-A-Wish. “I always wanted to take him to every event that I go to, but he was still so little and fragile,” Hawthorn said. “So now, his doctors figure he’s ready.”Allen and his family are huge fans of WWE.When his mom gave him three choices for his Make-A-Wish, he chose to meet wrestler Roman Reigns. "I feel like he should just come out here and express himself and show the world like who he is and what he went through and what he's still going through,” Hawthorn said. Another Make-A-Wish child from Michigan came in to meet John Cena.WWE also gave out free Smackdown tickets to Make-A-Wish families in the area.
