CAN HELP PUSH HALEY OVER THE EDGE. IF SOMEONE CAN WIN IN A LANDSLIDE. AND IT’S NIKKI BILLIONAIRE FRANK LOUDON IS PUTTING HIS MONEY WHERE HIS MOUTH IS AND BEHIND FORMER SOUTH CAROLINA GOVERNOR NIKKI HALEY. SHE HAS BY FAR THE BEST SHOT TO CATCH DONALD TRUMP AND BECOME THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE. LOUDON LIVES AND VOTES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND RUNS THE BRUKER CORPORATION. HE AND FOUR OTHER INFLUENTIAL HEALTH CARE LEADERS ANNOUNCED LAST WEEK THAT THEY WERE LAUNCHING A SUPER PAC IN SUPPORT OF HALEY. BUT WE THINK WE’LL HAVE A MEANINGFUL WHOLE OPERATION TO REALLY ADDRESS THE INDEPENDENTS THAT HAVE THE CHANCE TO REALLY TO ALMOST MAKE HISTORY, HE SAYS. THEY MADE THE DECISION OVER THE THANKSGIVING MORNING. WE’RE NOT ANTI TRUMP. WE JUST THINK WE COULD DO MUCH, MUCH BETTER ON BOTH SIDES. AND FOR BOTH PARTIES, QUITE HONESTLY. AND HALEY REACTED TO THE NEWS LAST WEEK AT HER TOWN HALL IN MEREDITH. YOU KNOW, I THINK I FOUND OUT THAT ON YOUR REPORTING, I DIDN’T REALIZE THAT WE HAD STARTED ONE INDEPENDENTS OR EVERYTHING. YOU KNOW, IF YOU LOOK AT THE FACT IN THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, WE’VE SEEN DEMOCRAT LOSE PEOPLE. WE’VE SEEN REPUBLICANS LOSE PEOPLE. AND WE’VE SEEN INDEPENDENTS GROW. AND I THINK IT’S BECAUSE THEY’RE TIRED OF THE CHAOS OF BOTH SIDES. AND WHILE HALEY HAS GAINED GROUND IN RECENT MONTHS, POLLING SHOWS SHE’S STILL TRAILING THE FORMER PRESIDENT. WE BELIEVE SHE COULD BE A VERY STRONG SECOND THAT CAN OVERPERFORM, BUT THEY’RE BETTING ON LATE DECIDERS TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. IT’S NOT THE AMOUNT OF MEDIA SPENDING. IT’S WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. AND CAN YOU GET THE ATTENTION? DO WE HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT AND INTERESTING TO SAY THAT WILL APPEAL TO INDEPENDENTS AND VOTERS NOW? LOUDON SAYS THEY’D BE HAPPY IF HALEY SAW A CLINTON ESQUE TYPE FINISH LIKE IN 1992, WHERE SHE FINISHES SECOND HERE AND THEN SEES A BIG WAVE OF MOMENTUM PUSHING HER FORWARD TO SOUTH CAROLINA AND THEN SUPE

In a one-on-one television interview with sister station WMUR, billionaire Frank Laukien said he believes Haley is the most qualified candidate.

With just 50 days until the New Hampshire primary, a newly formed Super PAC is looking to encourage independent voters to consider former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, as the an alternative to former President Donald Trump in the Republican race for president. In a memo obtained by sister station WMUR, the PAC — "Independents Moving the Needle" — coined their initiative “Independents for Nikki” last week.In an exclusive one-on-one television interview with WMUR, one of the founders of the PAC, Frank Laukien, a New Hampshire resident, billionaire, and the CEO of Bruker Corporation, based out of Billerica, Massachusetts, said that he and his co-founders believe that Haley is the most qualified candidate."If someone can win in a landslide, It's Nikki," Laukien told WMUR. "She has by far the best shot to catch Donald Trump and become the Republican candidate."The decision to launch the Super PAC was made over Thanksgiving, he said, with an overarching goal of bringing more qualified candidates to the forefront of the political conversation."We think we will have a meaningful operation to really address the independents that have the chance to really almost make history," Laukien said.Laukien stressed that this new Super PAC is not an "anti-Trump" movement, and that they were not looking to align with a candidate who is fundamentally against the former President."We just think we could do much much better, on both sides, for both parties, quite honestly," he added.According to data from the New Hampshire Secretary of State's office, nearly 40% of registered Granite State voters consider themselves Independents."We think we will have a meaningful operation to really address the independents that have the chance to really almost make history," he said. While Laukien has largely stayed out of politics, campaign finance data shows that he has made smaller individual donations to both Republican and Democratic candidates over the years. In New Hampshire, he has put his support behind retired Gen. Donald Bolduc, during his 2022 run for Senate, former U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand’s Scott Brown’s 2014 Senate run, and also behind Brown’s wife, former news anchor Gail Huff Brown’s 2022 congressional campaign. He has also made donations in political races across the country – including those of Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Sen. Lindsey Graham, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, and even Caitlyn Jenner during her cursory run for governor in 2021. In this most recent presidential cycle, he has also contributed to South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, who has since left the race, to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, to businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and to the No Labels movement. According to FEC data, he had not yet supported Haley. However, prior to the launch of the PAC, he told WMUR that he had recently donated to the former U.N. Ambassador's campaign.Video below: Haley looks to build momentum in New Hampshire after high-profile endorsementDuring a town hall in Meredith, last week, Haley reacted to the news of the filing, stating that she believes Independents will be key to her success."I think I learned that from your reporting ... you know, Independents are everything, if you look at the fact that in the past several years, we've seen Democrats lose people, we've seen Republicans lose people, and we've seen Independents grow, and I think that's because they're tired of the chaos on both sides," Haley said. The PAC’s launch also comes just after the group, Americans for Prosperity Action, an advocacy organization backed by billionaire Charles Koch and his widespread network of wealthy conservatives, endorsed Haley. While former President Donald Trump continues to hold a significant lead, nationally and in New Hampshire, over his competition, Haley has seen steady upticks in support.According to a recent CNN/University of New Hampshire poll, Haley’s support among likely GOP voters in the Granite State has grown to 20%, thrusting her into second place.Laukien added that they are betting on late deciders to make the difference."It's not the amount of media spending, it's what you have to say, and can you get the attention, Or do we have something important and interesting to say, that will appeal to independent voters," Laukien said.
