'I got my Christmas back': Firefighters surprise man with cancer by decorating home for the holidays
It just isn't Christmas at the loveless home without the display that's survived 40 years. That's usually the first thing he puts up and this year would have been the first year. It hadn't. We've done 100 and seven houses. We work pretty quick. It also isn't Christmas. If Corbin mcleod and crew aren't busy. I don't let anything rush me. He just respond that way. First responders do the firefighters of Dallas Fire rescue station 11. He's just gonna be blown away by the home of Tom and love you. Will you bring that one up? Tom is *** former W FAA photographer who spent *** lifetime telling others stories while those others never knew his. Especially when someone's having *** difficult time like this. Tom is fighting lung cancer and had surgery one month ago. There was no energy for Christmas lights and displays this year. You want to be here? Hi out while Tom and Jamie were at one of many doctors appointments this afternoon. Charlie, did you bring clips? The crew moved in. Let me get *** handful all free of charge and full of heart. I see Charlie doing that. So control it from this side. Ray lost his mom to cancer for another Christmas with my mom. He knows this is what needs to be done. Almost anything. He's coming over here. He's coming over here, Tom and Jamie walk up to see the kind of display of something much more beautiful. You guys are too nice. Good. Thank you. We're very glad that we got to do this. Well, thank you. We say our prayers at dinner time and I start crying or just really blessed. Oh, cool. More than Tom could have done. Thank you guys. You're the best or ever asked for. That's been the tradition for all these years. You can't have it. You can't have Christmas without lights. And one more thing over here *** tradition, 40 years and counting and this moment gave Tom just enough energy to do it. I got my back. That's wonderful. In Dallas. Just *** really special Christmas. I'm Joan Panicker. Ha.
