DROP THE GUN. A CAR STOLEN FROM MILWAUKEE EAST SIDE SUNDAY AND INVOLVED IN A SHOOTING WEDNESDAY IS NOW AT THE CENTER. WE WATCHED OFFICERS GO BEHIND THE BACK YARD OF THE WHITE HOUSE RIGHT THERE OF A CHASE AND CRASH THURSDAY WHERE MILWAUKEE POLICE SAY THEY SHOT TWO MEN. I FOUND OUT ON THE NEWS BECAUSE I SEEN MY OTHER NEPHEW GETTING IN THE AMBULANCE. AND I KNOW THEY’RE ALWAYS TOGETHER. SHATARA OFFICE SAYS HER NEPHEW SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES. SHE SAYS HER SON, 19 YEAR OLD KENNETH ROGERS, WAS SHOT SIX TIMES AND REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION. MILWAUKEE POLICE ARE TELLING US THAT HE WAS IN A STOLEN CAR AND RAN FROM POLICE. WHAT’S YOUR RESPONSE TO THAT? EVEN IF HE WAS IN A STOLEN CAR AND HE RAN FROM THE POLICE, HE DIDN’T GIVE YOUR ANY TYPE OF THREAT FOR YOU GUYS TO GUN HIM DOWN THE WAY THAT THEY DID. POLICE CHIEF JEFFREY NORMAN AND THE HOURS FOLLOWING THE SHOOTING THURSDAY, EARLY INFORMATION INDICATES THAT ONE OF SUSPECTS WAS CARRYING A VISIBLE FIREARM AND REFUSED TO DROP THE WEAPON DESPITE MULTIPLE VERBAL COMMANDS FROM THE POLICE OFFICE SAYS HER SON DID NOT HAVE A GUN. AND NOW THE CHIEF SAYS TWO OFFICERS WERE INVOLVED IN THE SHOOTING. RIGHT, KRISTIN? AND BOTH OF THOSE OFFICERS ARE ON ADMINISTRATIVE DUTY TONIGHT AS WAUKESHA POLICE CONTINUES ITS OWN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS SITUATION. AN THAT IS ROUTINE IN POLICE SHOOTINGS LIKE THIS ONE.
